UNSSC and Data-Pop Alliance have launched the Data for Sustainable Development webinar series as a step towards increasing data literacy and to build capacity of relevant stakeholders and development practitioners to effectively use data to measure progress on the achievement of SDGs.
The series aims to equip participants with knowledge and understanding of the concept of big data, global partnership mechanisms for sustainable development data and best practices for data innovation.
It also intends to provide useful insights to UN country teams and partners for strengthening statistical capacities of National Statistical Offices (NSOs).
Climate Action
Organized with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the SD Talks Special Series on Climate Action will feature 7 webinars from
May until December 2017 that will focus on different aspects around Climate Action and sustainable development.

Funding to Financing
Together with the UN Development Operations Coordination Office (UN DOCO), the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development launched a Funding to Financing Webinar Series
from January to March 2017.
In 5-part series included discussions on what funding to financing means in the context of sustainable development, how to use the Development Finance Assessment tool and examples from 16 countries on the tool’s effectiveness, and how to leverage UN resources and mobilize resources.
