Chris Murgatroyd
Chris Murgatroyd leads the work of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on governance and the post-2015 development agenda. Prior to joining the Governance & Peacebuilding Cluster in UNDP’s Bureau for Policy & Programme Support Mr Murgatroyd worked with the Department for International Development (DFID) in London as Head of the Director’s Office for Asia, Caribbean & the Overseas Territories, serving briefly as Deputy Director for Asia. He was also Team Leader for the Climate Adaptation in Policy Division, overseeing the UK's international commitment to adaptation to climate change. He has a background as a lawyer and governance adviser specializing in aspects of public service reform, and has worked extensively overseas – including in Nepal, Bangladesh, Zambia and India.
